FontMakerAI
Vector fonts are useful because they are compact, manipulatable, and scale-invariant, leading to their consistent visual fidelity across different softwares and displays. This project consists of a two-stage approach to vector font generation. First, a diffusion model generates a set of images of glyphs. These images are then used by a novel autoregressive neural vectorizer to generate the corresponding vector paths. These paths can be inserted into CFF tables for each glyph, and saved as a font. Here are some example outputs of the neural vectorizer. The left half of each pair is the input glyph image, which is used to autoregressively generate the vector path, which is rasterized into an image (for display), as seen in the right half of each pair.
